This Must Be No Place

Inspired by the Talking Heads song This Must Be the Place, this textile installation is a love letter to home and a meditation on identity. Each piece of fabric is digitally printed with a Google Earth satellite image of one of 30 homes that I have lived in across four countries.

Each is embroidered with a song lyric that is embedded in my memory from that time and place. I have exhibited this installation in four spaces across London, each time creating a new momentary utopia in dialogue with its environment
